Lovely to sit at the table with other guests for breakfast. Thank you both and for the opportunity to meet Ellie and Muffin your gorgeous dogs.

With this years weather this is my idea of heaven. Stayed two nights (our second visit) and as before, a fabulous place, fabulous owners, we had a great time.

Tips:

We did the rail trip out to Mallaig - probably the most scenic route in the UK!!) - though not much to see or do in Mallaig itself. If you go out for a meal try the Old Pines, fabulous view and good food.

This was the best getaway experience through our travels. Sue and Ian are wonderful hosts and put in every effort and paid attention to small detail to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The place is remarkable set in the heart of beautiful scottish scenery and not so diffucult to find either. Our 2 year old daughter was delighted about the presence of sheep, chickens, ducks and not forgetting the playful dogs Evie And Muffin, who in all helped to make the atmosphere more familial and friendly. The food was tasty, fresh and simple, which served to fulfill our expectations to a comfortable end of day, set in the quite and peaceful shadows of the beautiful mountains where we found the comforts of a home away from home.

High standards, high quality and impressive attention to detail throughout our 2 night stay. Ian and Sue are easy going likeable hosts trying their hardest to attend to anything you need. The house is modern, spacious and stylish with wide views across the garden and river to the hills beyond. We found no down sides for them to improve on. They are cyclist and walker friendly. For snooker buffs there's even a full size table that guests with some experience can use. As a touring base (and place) Larchwood is the one you will remember most when the holiday is over.

Tips:

We were walking the East Highland Way during our stay and got all the transport support we needed for drops or pickups to make it work so talk to them about your plans and they'll match what you need to make it happen for a VERY modest additional charge. Evening meals are available and if you have your own transport there are alternatives to dine out within a few miles drive (Glenspean Lodge is close and Stronlossit Hotel and Darwins Rest café are in Roy Bridge). A visit to Glen Roy viewpoint is a must.

We had truly had such a lovely time staying at your home; hands down the most fab bnb breakfast spread we've ever been served, thank you Sue! Direct access you a fridge/ice would be the only thing I'd change, but that a very minor thing. Very much appreciated the bedding not being scented. Everywhere we've stayed do far has given me an allergy attack due to the perfumed laundry detergent. Printed directions/rules for snooker would be a nice touch as well

We visited the church on the hill before departing, strong recommend all future guests be encouraged to go up there—what a view!

Tips:

At Banavie there is neptune staircase and we saw 3 yachts coming through all the locks which was very interesting. Then they have to close road and railway and swing them round to let the yachts through. We also saw the Jacobite steam train going over bridge before they closed it. Next time I will definitely book to go on steam train.

Very nicely presented accommodation, enjoyed our one night. Shame we could only stay one night, had to move on. Nice touch having some malts laid out in the snooker room for a 'nightcap' if we had wanted. Extremely generous breakfast choices. Iain and Sue were so welcoming to us on our late arrival since we had to arrive in the dark. Wee suggestion, certainly not criticism, maybe a handrail in the shower and laying down space beside the basin would be helpful for oldies like us. Easily the best B&B we have stayed at, and our Canadian relatives loved it. Hope we will be able to return again. Big Thankyou to you both. Chas and Fiona.

Sue & Ian were perfect hosts. From moment we arrived we felt so welcome and almost at home. Nothing was too much bother. The house and location are to die for. Scenery is fabulous and to view from bedroom window their small lake with bridge, hills behind is so calming. We were kept amused by the two lovely well behaved but fun cockadoodle dogs. There was also a variety of birds feeding including a woodpecker. The rooms have beautiful stone floors and are light and spacious. Bedroom has large bed and sofa. The addition of luxury goods was such a nice touch. Liquid jars of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Even pads for removing makeup. Room had an outside patio area accsible via sliding doors from bedroom. Breakfast was incredible. Any time to suit us and anything we wanted from fresh strawberries grown on site to full Scottish breakfast and Sue's home baked croissants. For sports enthusiasts the lounge includes a full size snooker table.

Tips:

There are plenty places to eat in and around Fort William about 14miles away. There is a hotel restaurant a mile away and a couple 7 miles in Spean Bridge. We felt the comfort, hospitality and location well outweighed having to use a car tio dine out. There are two trains from Fort William to Mallaig. The scenery is fabulous and there are ferries to various islands from Mallaig. The Harry Potter steam train is an experience however the normal rail service does the same journey at considerably less cost

Great relaxed b & b with great views and clean room (garden room). Advised different walks and areas to look at with Rosie (Jack Russel) Fab conversation and a filling breakfast .

Tips:

Lads to see have a look on line before you go but Ian & Sue are very informative of the area.

We have stayed at many B and B's all over the world and I can say that we have never stayed in one that is as fine as this one. Sue and Ian are very welcoming and their home is stunning; nearly new with modern facilities situated in a beautiful glen. Our hosts have a wealth of knowledge of the area. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. I would unreservedly recommend a stay here.

Our hosts welcomed us already at the door and guided us to our room. The garden room is very nice and has wonderful views into nature. Nothing to add about the total silence, friendliness and forthcoming of Sue and Ian. After a very rich breakfast in the huge kitchen each day can begin. We can surely recommend this location for all kind of travelers to Scotland and Ft William area.

Tips:

Watch out for small sign on main road for entry.

30th September 2016:

This accommodation is out of the way in a quiet and secluded spot but within a short drive to Spean Bridge. It is an excellent location for access to the local outdoor areas for walkers / climbers, shooters and fishermen and is ‘far from the madding crowd’. The garden area is a wildlife haven. The owners are very pleasant and my stay there was very relaxing as there was no noise or disturbance.

Tips:

Travel away from the accommodation for meals other than breakfast is required, however, it is not far from Spean Bridge. Can be difficult to locate in the dark but look out for the silver BT telephone box and wide turn in area. Cross an old Iron sided railway bridge on a gravel track to a wooden farm gate, through the gate and the accommodation is the building on your right (blue colour).

We had a wonderful stay, a lovely way to end a week's holiday in the Highlands. I can't remember staying in a nicer B&B, or more welcoming hosts. We would definitely stay again when we're next near Ben Nevis.

Tips:

For a quicker walk, the walk to the Waterfall from Glen Nevis is a good morning out.

The facilities are excellent. The Croft room and bathroom (very large) has everything you might need thoughtfully provided including lovely Highland soap toiletries. Hosts very welcoming and helpful, breakfast provided early as we asked for and delicious. Very high standard.

Tips:

We weren't in the area for long but visited Cille Choirill church for a wander about and also Glen Roy for a view of the parallel roads. We walked in the Grey Corries.

3rd August 2016:

We stayed in Larchwood for 1 night. It was a really time for us! The room was really nice, with large comfortable bed, two cosy armchairs and big bathroom! It was clean and well cared-for. We could make some tea or coffee in a teapot located in our room, sit in armchairs and just look through the window on the forest. The surroundings is calm and quiet. There is a beautiful garden with ducks, two sheeps and a great dog! There is a pool table if You want to play. The owners were amazing! They invited us for tea and shortbread. I had the opportunity to talk with Suem while my husband went for a garden walk with Ian and Evie, the dog. They were really nice! The breakfast was sooo big and delicious! We could choose whatever we want! There were toasts, marmolade, croissants, honey, nutella, fresh fruits, granola and cereals, yogurt, porridge, scrambled eggs with salmon, haggis, eggs, beans. We enjoyed our stay a lot! We felt like at home! I hope we will come back one day!

Tips:

It's just a farmhouse - quiet, calm, remote from city. And it's the biggest advantage!

Ian and Sue were perfect hosts. Their home is lovely and the outlook over the garden and hills beyond was amazing. We particularly loved sitting on the outside terrace just relaxing and looking at the view. Everything in the B and B was of a very high standard, with excellent breakfasts and Ian and Sue gave us good advice on local walks. We would love to stay again and although the croft room was lovely, next time I would book the garden room with its view over and direct access to the garden. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Larchwood and in fact I have already done so!

We received a lovely warm welcome and a big wag from Ellie the dog. The room was very clean, comfortable & tastefully decorated, we especially loved the Highland Soap Co Toiletries in the en suite. Breakfast was great it comprised of fresh berries, cereals, choice of cooked breakfast, pastries & toast. Overall a great stay and we will definitely return next time we are in the area. Thank you both for you hospitality, hoping to return next year.

Tips:

If you have a dog you can walk it through their croft which was great for us and the dogs after such a long journey.

Nothing but love for this beautiful place and its wonderful hosts, Sue and Ian. The house has a really nice garden, with lots of birds and other farm animals and of course great views! The decoration of the rooms is nice too and they feel very cosy. Sue and Ian are very knowledgable about the area and gave us some good tips to enjoy our brief stay to the fullest. Also, they do the best breakfast with anything you'd like and more.

Tips:

Lots of sights are a short drive away: Fort William has a couple of nice restaurants, Ben Nevis and the surrounding area is great for hikes of all levels and driving to Mallaig or Glen Coe gives amazing views all the way.
