Easy to find. Quiet as it is on a one way street. It's three blocks from downtown and a short walk from the bus/train station.

Tips:

The Grog 'N Gruel is a good place to eat. It has a variety of food. The water front is a nice walk even in the light misty rain. The old Fort along the water front had interesting information. Lots of different shops, from mountain clothes to book stores. It's also the start/end of the Great Glend Way and the West Highland Way.

Lovely, perfect little room, with full en suite bathroom. Great location just a street off the main high street. Very kind host. Would go back!

Tips:

Garrison West was lovely! Just up from the main square, near the museum. Delicious food, very kind staff, worth the wait. Thurs is open mic and was a lot of fun. Good mix of tourists and locals. Also liked the walk all the way down the loch. You have to cross at the roundabout, but its worth the walk.

We (2 backpackers) had a great stay at Stobahn. Very friendly and no problem with late arrival after announcement. Very friendly, he even checked for ferry transport for me after I told him that we might had problems checking timetables. On top he arranged a second stay at a different B&B (he was booked out for the second night). THANKS. There were power adaptors available. Room was clean, coffee and tee available for self service. BEST (yes, VERY BEST) VEGETARIAN BREAKFAST I got during the whole trip. LOVELY.

Tips:

The fish&chips at the local "fishNchips store" look disgusting. We went out and chose the Indian restaurant on the main street (the first one when arriving from the bus station) instead. BYOB, no licence. Food is very delicious.

Had a brief but wonderful stay at stobahn after running the West highland way in June, such is the race that I could not give Giorgios a definitive arrival time and he could not have been more accommodating or pleasant. The rooms were fine and comfortable and the location is ideal for the town centre. The fully cooked breakfast was hearty and exactly what was needed and there were also options for cereal and fruit. Thus place was a diamond of a find and the next time I'm in fort William will be the first place I look for.

First of all, we were surprised to see that the B&B was so close to the town center. That was great! The room we stayed in overlooked Fort William, which was stunning, especially at night/in the morning. The room was very clean and there were biscuits and a wide range of teas to choose from, which made it even more comfortable and cozy! The bathroom was excellent too. The breakfast was very filling and we enjoyed the ‚extra‘ fresh fruit salad in the morning. What a treat. The staff were all very friendly and attentive at all times. Thank you for making our stay special.

Take the train to Glenfinnan (if you like Harry Potter) and go for a stroll. Or hike the Great Glen Way or West Highland Way.

Friendly establishment very conveniently located in the heart of Fort William . Bus and Railway St only 5/6 minutes walk away . Breakfast is superb with a very wide choice , the full Scottish will set you up for the day ! Good value for money. On the day of departure it is possible to leave your bags there whilst you have a last minute wander.

Tips:

Great way to travel to Fort William is by train . It does take 3 hours plus from Glasgow but the views are superb and give you a real feel for the beauty and isolation of the Highlands. Good little museum in Fort William examining local life and history and another explaining the geology of the area. As you would expect plenty of outdoor activities . Reasonable selection of places to eat.

Great place to stay if you prefer to feel you are staying with extended family over the holiday season. Very warm and inviting host who made us feel right at home. Unpretentious, treat value for the money, and a lovely little haven nestled atop a hill with a charming view. Breakfast was a treat! Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

We went to a fantastic restaurant just down the hill called Crannog. It was absolutely fantastic!

This cosy B&B in a quiet street of Fort William is led by a friendly and caring host. We had to depart early and got a huge full breakfast. We loved the big bowl of fresh fruit salad. :) Big and very clean bathroom. Beds were comfortable, could sleep very well. We also appreciated the selection of tea and coffee in our room. Only a little detail that could have been better, was the wifi-connection (it only worked with a tablet but not with smartphone).

Tips:

We took the Jacobite Steam train from Fort William to Mallaig and had a good day. Make sure you book well in advance. Glencoe is a short trip away and did a fast rib boat trip. The Crofter Restaurant was nice for pub grub

Would highly recommend staying at Stobahn Guest House, it's clean & tidy. The breakfast was very nice. The staff would do anything they could for you.

Tips:

The fish restaurant along the Pier, was good but quite expensive & you do need to book. We went into Weatherspoons at the end of the high street, would certainly recommend the meals here, you get a decent amount on your plate & the pints are cheap too. Try going on the Jacobite train. from Fort William to Mallaig, well worth it, if only to see Glenfinnan viaduct. If you have plenty of time it's good value for money going up to the Kingussie Highland Wildlife Park, nice gift shop,a safari trail where you can use your own car or go up on a tour in one of the mini buses.

The host Georgio is friendly, efficient, welcoming, and good in communication leading up to the stay, helping with information about transport etc. The breakfast was the best I've ever had! The view from my window was amazing, looking out o et the loch and the town. It took only 3 min to walk to from town, with steep gradient on the shortest route. Gentler longer route for cars. I would definitely come back!

Tips:

Town is lovely to walk around, nice park, many eating options, good supermarket, episcopal church was open for people to walk into, museum was very interesting, visitor centre was helpful, ferry rides which I didn't have time for, and if you're a descendant of Cameron clan, then try to get to Achnacarry and the Cameron Museum, which there was no public transport to and taxi would be very expensive! You need a car for that.

24th June 2015:

This will be our first choice for any further overnight stops in Fort William

Tips:

On a Friday night, when Fort William is a popular stop on the journey between northern Scotland and England, the local eating places struggle to cope with demand and long waits were reported after 7pm. So eat early or plan for fish and chips overlooking the loch if the weather is kind.

9th June 2015:

Mr Boggi met us on arrival with a very genuine smile and a clear desire to ensure we were happy to stay with him. We were not disappointed. Our room was a good size and had sufficient space for a small sofa by the window to enjoy the loch view. En-suite was clean and the shower powerfully hot. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. The tea was particularly tasty. We will definitely stay with him again.

Tips:

The Weatherspoons pub can get extremely busy with seating a grab it if you can find it affair. Be prepared to wait a while. The Saturday we visited in June, the whole town was very busy with other restaurants quoting waiting times for tables of up to one hour.

Great little B&B with a friendly proprietor. In good shape, if a little odd. Great location just outside of Ft. William.

1st June 2015:

Giorgio was friendly and incredibly helpful in a non-intrusive way. The cooked breakfast is top notch and set us up well for a hike to the summit of Ben Nevis. The rooms are basic with a small TV and our bed was very comfortable. The shower is fantastic - great temperature and pressure. Thank you, Giorgio, for making our stay in Fort William a lovely one.

23rd February 2015:

Excellent B&B. It's in a good location, is very good value for money, and the owner was unfailingly courteous and helpful. There were also some nice little touches such as no skimping on tea and coffee provided in the rooms, and early breakfast provided on request with no problems. I would strongly recommend Stobahn.
